Scott Pennington

Scott Pennington is a faculty specialist at Matrix, The Center for the Humane Arts, Letters, and Social Sciences Online at Michigan State University where he is head of digitizing and African projects.

During his time at Matrix, Scott has published numerous papers on using Internet technologies in education and in expanding Internet use to include audio and visual resources in unique ways. He has taught courses in humanities technology, Internet design, and Internet research at Michigan State University and at several international workshops and conferences - most recently at The 37th Annual Symposium of the Australian Academy of the Humanities conference: Humanities Futures: New Methods and Technologies in Humanities Research; Doshisha University in Kyoto, Japan on Avoiding Digital Colonization: endangered archives, access, preservation, and the American Studies scholar; the Faculty Technology Seminar at the University Cheikh Anta Diop in Dakar, Senegal; District Six Museum "Hands on District Six" conference in Cape Town, South Africa; the Anti-Apartheid Conference in Durban, South Africa; and at DELOS in Pisa, Italy.
