Testbed Collections and Publications

Broad scale testbed collections and publications that address a variety of humanities concerns must be developed to test the technologies (architectures, tool sets, applications and delivery methods) and to engage partners and scholars in the development and use of advanced and appropriate IT resources for their fields. Testbeds also present long-term research challenges to develop functional and sustained interoperability through coordinated, integrated, broad-based and expandable national networked services. These project-oriented testbeds are shaped through close collaboration between computing and production researchers and faculty collaborators. MATRIX senior project managers work closely with faculty collaborators to research, design, develop, and implement these testbeds. Graduate and undergraduate researchers assist in implementing the testbeds. These completed bodies of online, public resources also serve as a vital output in the research process.
